If you want a more hassle free trip, you might consider a hotel or staying at a guest lodge where food and services are included in the price. At the lower end of your budget you might consider camping, but it requires a lot more equipment and much more work (and time).

3. What type of fish do you want to catch?

This is very important when your fishing trip is going to involve a group. While this may seem obvious, it is something that needs to be discussed. One person may want to fish for walleye and northern pike, while others may want to go bass fishing. Coming up with a plan will ensure that everyone knows exactly what they are getting and prevent unnecessary arguments that might spoil your holiday. Depending on what type of fish you are going to catch, you might need to either get a kayak or a boat. Most commercial fishing spots offer these for hire, having you the hassle of buying and taking your own.
